Dereham RFC Youth section was formed at the beginning of the 2007 season. All young player are welcome from the age of 8 years old upwards although we are currently strongest in terms of numbers at Under 14's and Under 16's / 17's. This does not mean however that younger players would not be made welcome and also benefit from the coaching and instruction provided at all levels. Coaching is undertaken strictly in line with the RFU Continuum guidelines and the emphasis is very much on enjoyment of all aspects of the game. All coaches are qualified. Coaching / training is held on a Sunday morning throughout the season, starting at 10.00am and finishing around noon. Parents are more than welcome to stay and watch - and even help in some capacity or other if so inclined! Friendly matches are also arranged periodically against other clubs in the County and even further afield. If you feel you want to come along and have a look before you commit to a regular Sunday morning, that is also fine and all the coaches will find time to talk to any potential new player ( and Mum & Dad also) if necessary.
